Galt Ocean Rehab Center

Galt Ocean Rehab Center treats alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid addiction, along with other substance use disorders. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is available, including referrals to Vivitrol providers. The center also treats mental health issues, dual diagnosis, chronic relapse and chronic pain.

The PHP is the most intensive option, with about 30 hours of programming each week across four daily groups. The IOP offers 9 to 18 hours each week, and outpatient care provides lighter ongoing support. Every client has at least one individual therapy session per week, and an on-site psychiatrist provides medical and psychiatric treatment.

Alongside therapy, Galt Ocean offers biofeedback therapy, case management, nutrition evaluations by a registered dietitian, 12-Step meetings, acupuncture, chiropractic care, massage therapy and non-narcotic pain management. Support groups for LGBTQ+ clients, grief and trauma, as well as couples and family therapy, are also available.

Daily life includes beach activities, recreation, physical fitness and religious services, plus extras such as biweekly hair and nail services. Housing is in apartment-style residences in a beachside community, with a pool, ocean garden and shared living areas.

Planning for life after treatment starts early. The team helps schedule follow-up appointments and can help clients tour halfway houses in South Florida before discharge. Same-day admissions are available.

The center is located at 4001 N Ocean Dr #305, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, FL 33308. It works with insurers including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Allied Benefit Systems, Meritain Health, AmeriHealth and Highmark, and also accepts self-pay. Medicaid and Medicare are not accepted.
