Hanley Center

Hanley Center treats alcohol addiction and a broad range of drug addictions, including opioids, heroin, fentanyl, prescription painkillers, benzodiazepines such as Xanax, methamphetamine, cocaine and crack, marijuana, psychedelics, GHB, ecstasy and inhalants. Process addictions and codependency are also addressed.

Many clients arrive with mental health symptoms as well, so Hanley offers co-occurring disorder treatment and a separate residential mental health program. Conditions treated include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD and complex PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, adult ADHD and personality disorders.

Care often begins with on-site detox and medical services, which can also manage chronic medical conditions during treatment. From there, clients may move into residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), outpatient individual therapy and psychiatric services. Continuing care and discharge planning help people prepare for the transition home.

Therapy combines evidence-based and experiential methods, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, EMDR and other trauma therapies, recreational therapy and 12-Step work. Hanley's Center for Brain Recovery adds neurological approaches, and spiritual care and a Christian track are available for people who want faith to be part of recovery.

Specialty programs include Headwaters at Hanley Center for executives, professionals and public figures who need extra discretion, the Patriots Initiative for veterans and first responders, an Impaired Professionals Program, and Casa Flores for pregnant women and their babies. A family program helps loved ones heal alongside the client.
